Ray Mitchell

PGA Assistant Golf Professional

(847) 501.2050

Professionally at the Club

Ray’s current role at the club is Assistant Golf Professional.  Prior to working at Winnetka Golf Club he spent 25 years at various North Shore clubs including Bryn Mawr Country Club, Green Acres Country Club, Glencoe Golf Club, and 14 years at Valley Lo Sports Club as Head Golf Professional.

Ray had the good fortune of studying under Golf Professionals with extensive  teaching backgrounds including Ed Oldfield Jr. who taught many LPGA Tour players including three time U.S. Open Champion Dottie Pepper.  Ray’s teaching philosophy is to communicate the correct amount of information for each and every lesson so the individual can understand or improve immediately.  He offers a money back guarantee.  He enjoys keeping it simple when it is needed, and more in depth for the more advanced player.  Ray believes the best way to learn the game is the short game first, to mid-irons, then the driving portion.
