Professionally at the Club
Jeff is an Assistant Golf Professional at Winnetka Golf Club and serves as a Liaison to the Men’s Club, a Lead Instructor in the Junior Golf Academy, and conducts private lessons. This is Jeff’s ninth year at WGC. Previously, he worked as a second assistant pro to (Teacher of the Year/ IPGA) Chad Johannsen at Blackberry Oaks G.C., and also as Junior Instructor for Arrowhead G.C. His other experiences include, Head Golf Coach for the University Of Chicago Lab School.
Jeff apprenticed for seven years under current Head Professional, Matt Johnson (former Coordinator of Award winning IPGA Junior Golf Program). He has developed best teaching techniques from Matt, Chad, and his Father Pete and Brother Rob (both PGA Pros). As an instructor, he believes in open communication and providing a fun learning environment for his students. Jeff is rooted in expanding student’s strengths and improving swing flaws, no matter of age or skill level. His skill as a coach is developing a swing & short game shots around fundamentals, a person’s physique, and mobility levels. He does not subscribe to any one swing theory; rather, he provides a concise plan based on movements that enhance a player’s strengths, goals, and mobility.
